the 6600 used 256mb of standard DDR ram and the 6600GT uses 128 MB og GDDR3 special graphics ram clockes at an effective 1000MHZ.

all review sites run screaming dont get the crippled 6600 card.

Honestly, the x600 is outdated. I highly recommend a 6600GT. Yes you can find some for as cheap as $120 on Newegg.
